H. David Mock Dr Mock Senior has retired after 50 years of practice. He would like to thank all of his wonderful patients for the trust and friendship they have given to him through the years.
Dr. H.S.D. Mock II
Dr. Mock II is a 1974 graduate of Washington and Jefferson College. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in 1978. Dr. Mock joined his fathers practice after graduation. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Pennsylvania Dental Association, and the Alle-Kiski Dental society. He is a certified provider of the Invisalign Orthodontic System as well as a certified provider of 'Snap on Smiles'. Dr. Mock regularly attends continuing education courses in all areas of Dentistry. He has been the school dentist for the Allegheny Valley School District since 1978. Dr. Mock is a past president , current secretary, and Paul Harris Fellow of the Rotary Club of Allegheny Valley and is an active member since 1986. He volunteers for many local charitable events in the community. Each year Dr. Mock sponsors two college scholarships at Springdale High School (his Alma Mater),for seniors interested in pursuing a degree in a healthcare profession. Dr. Mock, his wife Debra, and son, Max, reside in Cheswick. Dr. Mock's hobbies are skiing, tennis, fishing, trap/skeet shooting and weight training.

It is with much sadness that we are informing you of the death of our beloved “Chief”.
We miss him so much but his legacy will live forever in our hearts.
Dr. H. David Mock DDS
Dr. H. David Mock, 79, of Cheswick, passed away Thursday, Dec. 15, 2011, peacefully at home, with his loving family by his side. David was a lifelong resident of Cheswick. Throughout his life, he was devoted to his family, friends and community. Dr. Mock was a dentist in Springdale for 50 years.
He graduated high school from Kiski Preparatory School in Saltsburg in 1949, completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Pittsburgh in 1954 and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh Dental School in 1959. He enjoyed going to work everyday of his life. He was thankful for his wonderful staff and loyal patients who were an extended family to him.
Dr. Mock was happy to support the community as well. In 1965 he was Scout Master for Troop 303 of Cheswick and has cherished the memory of his time with these scouts, especially their Canadian camping trips. He has been an active member of the Rotary Club of Allegheny Valley for 24 years and is a Paul Harris Fellow and three-time past president. Through the 1970s he was an associate professor of dentistry at the University of Pittsburgh Dental School, where he enjoyed teaching the dental students in the clinic. He was a member of the American Dental Association, Pennsylvania Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry and Alle-Kiski Dental Society.
Dr. Mock was instrumental in the formation and construction of the Bouquet Park Swimming Pool Association. In his commitment to education, he sponsors a scholarship for two Springdale High School students interested in attending college to study for a career in a health related field. For 40 years, Dr. Mock was the school dentist for the Allegheny Valley School District. Until recently he was a volunteer driver for Meals on Wheels in the Springdale Area. He was a lifelong member and served as deacon of the Cheswick Presbyterian Church. He had many hobbies. He was an outdoorsman and an enthusiastic fisherman, hunter and golfer. Dave enjoyed gardening and hiking and was a member of the Cheswick Hunting Club for 65 years, as well as a member of the Springdale Sportsmen's Club and the Tamarack Sportsman Association. Of course the thing he enjoyed most was the time he spent with his family.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Annamae Manconi Mock; a son, Dr. H.S. David (Debra) Mock, DMD, of Springdale; a daughter, Alice (Richard) Knapek, of Harwick; a sister, Evelyn Hirtle George, of Oakmont; his adored grandchildren, Maxwell Mock, Samantha and Kimberly Knapek; also many beloved nieces and nephews and dear friends. Dr. Mock was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. HSD Mock, MD, and Alice Marcy Mock.
Family and friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday in SPRINGDALE at the CHARLES B. JARVIE FUNERAL HOME INC., 801 Pittsburgh St. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the Cheswick Presbyterian Church.
